Quality Shifts, Natural Fibers, and Community

Quality Shifts, Natural Fibers, and Community

Dear Friends,

I’m genuinely excited for this new year. There’s a noticeable shift happening, a quiet turning from fast to slow.

Across conversations and social spaces, people are thinking more carefully about what they wear, how they live, and what truly matters: family, friends, and a life well lived.

Designers like Ralph Lauren and William Morris are once again in the spotlight (though they never left mine).

The era of stark white and gray interiors is giving way to the warmth of wood, color, and rooms that feel lived in and loved.

With timeless style comes timeless clothing. Natural fibers - wool, cotton, linen - and luxury fibers like mohair, alpaca, and cashmere are finding their way back into everyday life.

Conscious consumerism is no longer a niche idea; it’s becoming the norm. People want fewer things, made better. Quality matters. Ethics matter.

And slowly but surely, the U.S. textile industry is finding its footing again.

Shoppers are choosing small brands with real stories over big-box convenience.

This is where Caprine belongs.

Our mohair, raised with care and intention right here on the ranch, resonates because it’s honest.

It has a beginning you can trace and a purpose that lasts. I feel it deeply.

Our values align with what people are seeking now more than ever.

In 2026, knowing where your clothing comes from matters.

Slow living and a return to our roots are becoming the new status quo.

It’s an exciting, hopeful time to be making socks and throws - and an even better time to be part of a community that values what endures.

As we step into this new year together, I’m grateful for the quiet connection these letters have created - shared stories of mud and snow, gardens and goats, family and faith, hard work and small joys.

Caprine has always been about more than socks and throws.

It’s an invitation to slow down, to choose well, and to surround yourself with things made with care.

Thank you for being here, for reading along, and for wrapping yourselves and your homes in the warmth of what we create.

We’re so glad to welcome you into the Caprine family in the year ahead.

With love,
Angela
