Dear friends,
I look out my window and the trees show me that fall is truly here, I see the snow covered mountains and know that winter is near.
The blended scenes of white powder with trees dressed in their colored leaves is a blend of the cozy seasons, each with their own charms and hardships.
As we savor these days of golden sun with crisp breezes and beautiful colors, we prepare for the months ahead.
Making sure we are fully stocked with hay and straw, that the shelters are buttoned down for the cold, hoses gathered, and heated water buckets at the ready among other things.
Are you ready for winter? Whether you look forward to the coming cold or dread it, you’ll need some quality mohair socks to stay warm and cozy (sorry to sound salesy, but it’s true!).
I’ve been living in our everyday mid-calf socks all month. The perfect medium weight to keep my feet comfortable all day, whether doing Caprine admin inside or caring for our goats outside.
Sarah
P.S. The pastures have no grass left, but the goats are loving every leaf they can find. I hope you find happy “leaf” moments today as well. :)
